For the proponents of off shoring and outsourcing this is the perfect time to push out as much as possible and presents that business case to the CEO & MD. The current economic uncertainty and a slowdown as a result of rouge traders, sub prime crisis and some other not so visible reason is having a choking effect on the bottom-line. The recruitment binge that many Indian IT companies had embarked upon is showing signs of trouble with news coming in of retrenchment of fresh hires from last year. Well the new mantran has to be to push the IT work to class ' B ' towns like Indore, Jaipur, Vizag, Nagpur, Nasik, Bhopal etc. That is the only way to get people @ a lower price point and still manage delivery.
What do the folks out there think about technology jobs in the next 12 months?
